Eligibility Criteria:
- Only the candidates who have passed the exam in 2017/2018 and 2019 are eligible to appear in the exam. The ones who have appeared before 2017 are not eligible for sitting in the exam.
- Any OBC certificate whose validity is expired will not be considered.
- The candidates possessing ITI certificate from NCVT Board are eligible for apply.

-Minimum Age limit for applying: 18
-Maximum age limit for applying is different for different categories.
- Unreserved Category: 27
- OBC: 30
- SC/ST: 32
- PWD: 37
DRDO Apprentice Selection Process:
- The candidates will be shortlisted for selection on the basis of the marks obtained in the examination followed by the interview process.
- Informing regarding shortlisted candidates will be told via email or SMS. All the candidates are advised to have a check on the date and time of interview regularly on the official website.
- The Interview or screening test will be conducted at CVRDE, Chennai.

Duration of Training:
The selected candidates will undergo training for one year and the stipends for different posts are given below:
- For COPA, PAINTER, PLUMBER & WELDER Rs.7700/- per month.
- For OTHER TRADES Rs.8050/- per month.
- No other allowances will be paid during the entire period of Apprenticeship training.
